Tuition and Fee Schedule 2011/2012
Please note that tuition may be subject to change in subsequent years. New rates will be posted in spring.
Application Fee
- $55 (Non-refundable) only for new applications
- $100 for international students
Tuition Fees
Tuition is for the entire year. For your convenience, we offer a monthly payment option. Fees for the upcoming school year will be deducted on the second day of each month, beginning June 2. Note: Upon acceptance of your child you agree to pay for the entire year, regardless of attendance.
- Preschool (morning 2 days a week): $2,000
- Preschool Aftercare (Wednesdays and Thursdays noon- 3:00pm): $1,500
- Half Day Kindergarten (3 days a week): $2,800
- Half Day Kindergarten (5 days per week): $4,500
- Full Day Kindergarten (3 days a week): $3,900
- Full Day Kindergarten (5 days per week): $5,950
- Grades (5 days per week): $5,950
International Fees
- Kindergarten: $6,000 per year (half days); $12,000 per year (full days)
- Grades: $12,000 per year

Available Discounts
Sibling Discount
Offered to families with more than one student in the school.
- Second Child: 20%
- Third Child: 70%
- Fourth Child: free
Commitment Discount
Offered to families who have been with the school for three or more years, the commitment discount is applied after sibling discounts.
After completing 3 years a 3% discount is available.
After completing 5 years a 5% discount is available.
Complete Payment Discount
5% of tuition will be discounted when the complete family yearly tuition fees are paid in full no later than June 2.
Deposit and Payment Details
The financial contract for the 2011/12 school year will commence on June 2, 2011. The first monthly payment is a non refundable tuition deposit that will be applied to the year’s tuition. Please complete the direct debit form along with the financial contract in order to secure your child’s enrollment for the upcoming school year. This new financial contract and monthly debit system will continue as long as your child remains enrolled, subject to moderate annual increases.

Annual Supplies
Annual supply fee is due the first day of class and is non-refundable. This covers all the classroom supplies.
- Kindergarten: $100.00
-Full Day Kindergarten $150.00
- Grade 1 to 8: $250.00
Please note that musical instruments and field trips will be billed separately.
Withdrawal
The financial contract commences August 1. If a registered student is withdrawn after this date and before the commencement of classes in September, one-tenth of the annual tuition is due and payable. After the commencement of classes sixty days written notice is required. In the event a child is withdrawn without the required sixty days notice the responsible party(ies) will be required to pay the outstanding fees to cover the sixty days withdrawal notice period. This applies whether the student is withdrawn by parents or dismissed by the school. This requirement will be waived in the event the reason for withdrawal is of a confirmed medical nature.
Tuition Adjustment
In an effort to make Waldorf education available to those who might otherwise be unable to afford it, the Cedar Valley Waldorf School offers tuition adjustment based on need. Limited funds are available and amounts will vary based on need. Please download the Tuition Adjustment form.
TA applications are due with your enrollment. Late applications will only be accepted in emergency circumstances (i.e. a sudden and unexpected change in finances) and will be subject to a $25 administration fee.
Please note supply fees are not included in any tuition adjustment contract.
