Nordic Skiing at the Whistler Olympic Park
The snow is falling and it is that time to enjoy the winter activities. We are happy to communicate that we will be Nordic skiing again this year.
All grade school students will be Cross-country/Skate skiing on the following days:
Wednesday, December 7
Monday, January 9
Monday, January 23
Monday, January 30
The Nordic program is $15 per visit which includes gear rental and lessons. There will also be a $5 fee towards gas money for drivers. We were able to receive grant money of $56 assist with the costs. Thus, the cost is $18.75 per visit for a total cost for the 4 trips is $75. All lessons must be paid in advance; preferably as one lump sum but if that is not possible you can pay per session.
On the days we are skiing the students will be leaving after main lesson at 11am, eating a bag lunch at Callaghan and returning to the school at 3:30pm.
Please ensure your child is dressed warmly in layers – wool or thermal layers are better than cotton. Children must have mittens/gloves, hat, warm jacket and pants.
We are looking for drivers. People who drive would receive free rentals and skiing (guaranteed fun day). Please return the permission and money as soon as possible so car pooling can be determined.
