Enrollment and Tuition
As a private school, tuition is charged for all programs.The school also receives government funding and holds fundraising events. These funds are directed towards a tuition adjustment program in order to make this education affordable to any and all interested families
Enrollment Procedure
Application
Complete the appropriate form(s) and return to the Cedar Valley School secretary. Please include the application fee of $55 per child and a copy of your child’s birth certificate.
Interview
Upon receipt of your completed application, the teacher will contact you to schedule an interview. The interview is designed to assist you in determining whether Waldorf Education is the best fit for your child.
Acceptance
The teacher will make a decision based on all of the information gathered. This includes the interview with the parents and student, and consideration of how the new student will fit into the class. As soon as possible you will be informed as to whether your child has been accepted into the class.
Financial Arrangements
Once accepted, a financial contract that details discounts, obligations and payment options will be returned to you as soon as possible. Normally fees are paid in monthly installments over the school year, with a discount available for full payment in advance. A tuition fee agreement form will then be drawn up.

Tuition is for the entire year. For your convenience, we offer a monthly payment option. Note: Upon acceptance of your child(ren) you agree to pay for the entire year, regardless of attendance.

Available Discounts
Sibling Discount
Offered to families with more than one student in the school, the sibling discount is available for children who are of school age (5 years old by December 31 2007).

Commitment Discount
Offered to families who have been with the school for three or more years, the commitment discount is applied after sibling discounts.
After completing 3 years a 3% discount is available.
After completing 5 years a 5% discount is available.
Complete Payment Discount
5% of tuition when the complete yearly tuition net of sibling and commitment discount fees are paid in full no later than August 1 2007.

Annual supply fee is due with enrollment. This covers all the classroom supplies.

Society Membership
Families are welcome to join the Cedar Valley School Association, which is the legal body that governs the school.
Withdrawal
The financial contract commences August 1, 2007. If a registered student is withdrawn after this date and before the commencement of classes in September, one-tenth of the annual tuition is due and payable. After the commencement of classes sixty days written notice is required. In the event a child is withdrawn without the required sixty days notice the responsible party(ies) will be required to pay the outstanding fees to cover the sixty days withdrawal notice period. This applies whether the student is withdrawn by parents or dismissed by the school. This requirement will be waived in the event the reason for withdrawal is of a confirmed medical nature.
Tuition Adjustment
In an effort to make Waldorf education available to those who might otherwise be unable to afford it, the Cedar Valley School offers tuition adjustment based on need for children at least 5 years old by Dec. 31 2007. There will be limited funds available and amounts will vary depending on financial circumstances, but generally do not exceed 50% of tuition.
